Salmagundi

How wild is that title?
Consider it your word for the day. Means a heterogeneous mixture of stuff, which is what is comin' at ya in this post.

Noah decided what to spend another chunk of his hard-earned cash from Papa John on - a slot car racetrack.  He is really happy with his purchase ... as am I, since he humored me and refrained from buying more Legos for once.

Having just finished a quick solar system unit in science, Noah made use of a few tops and caps from my stash of odds and ends. :}

I whipped up a virtual hug for someone special in the form of a cowl.

It turned out rather nice!  Only took me one complete unraveling and total start over to get it right.

I tried out 5 subscriptions on Amazon for the first time ever and they came in this giant box... and we know all sorts of ways to make good use of boxes in this house!  See Anna's Daddy heart on top? Complete with beard and glasses?  ♥  What you can't see is the doorbell she has taped on that side she is working on and ever so carefully making a sign to tell visitors that they must ring the bell.  The day before, she closed herself in and did her homework inside via flashlight.

A snapshot of the colorful chaos that floods the living room after a good romp in the snow.

Anna's latest art installment...

Cute pie commentary from one of Anna's homework assignments.  See if you can decode.  Mrs. White sure did.  She is fluent in kindergarten scrawl and invented spelling.

See anything new on the family car?  Eek!

How Betty Spaghetti slips into socks.  Sigh.

How she watches TV.

In other news, we have rearranged FIVE rooms in our house to make way for our first Jonah's Journey kiddos.  Here's a shot of Noah's vacated room, just waiting on the boys, with nary a Lego left behind to be choked on by any new littles.  Sneak a peek of the toddler bed just inside the door!

The rest of the room redo pics will have to populate a post of their own at some point.  I'd do them now, but we are pooped!  Gonna collapse in our newly resituated living room instead. :}

Love the pics! But just a question...are those thumb tacks on the wall next to the tall bed. I'm willing to bet a 2.5 year old will climb that sucker and mess with the entire wall right there, poking himself - at least Jack did : /. Hopefully you will get those boys tomorrow!

They are magnets. Gonna see if the boys mess with them or not. But really knowing we will probably have to replace them with tape for the time being. We shall see.

ohhhh, that's not as dangerous :) Well, unless they are strong magnets and swallowed :)
Call me when you get a chance tomorrow, if you actually get a chance and tell me how it's going!
